Panel: US-China Academic Collaboration in the Current Environment

The U-M Association of Chinese Professors is honored to welcome U-M President Emeritus Mary Sue Coleman for a panel discussion on navigating US-China academic collaborations in the current political climate. Dr. Coleman, who is currently the President of the Association of American Universities, will be joined in the discussion by distinguished U-M leaders with extensive experience partnering and collaborating with colleagues in China:

  • Jack Hu, PhD, MS,  Vice President of Research
  • Mary Gallagher, PhD, MA, Director of the Center for Chinese Studies
  • Joseph Kolars, MD, Sr. Associate Dean for Eduction and Global Initiatives, and Co-Director of Michigan Medicine's Joint Institute partnership with Peking University Health Science Center
  • James Holloway, PhD, Vice Provost for Global Engagement and Interdisciplinary Academic Affairs

The event will be moderated by Ann Lin, PhD, Associate Professor of Public Policy at the Gerald Ford School of Public Policy. The panel is free and open to the public.
