Henry Ford Health System Global Health Symposium

Friday, October 19, 2018 - 8:00am to 2:00pm
Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit

Henry Ford Hospital has been hosting its annual global health-focused symposium since 2014, drawing faculty, administrators, students and others from around the region for a day-long event on local and international health disparities. Given the world’s increasingly urban population, and the myriad associated challenges – particularly ensuring equitable access to health – the Fifth Annual Symposium will focus on best practices for creating a resilient and healthy city. Focused interdisciplinary approaches and partnerships (i.e. public health, urban planning, policy, and more) will help tackle complex topics such as housing and air pollution – and their impact on health.

This year's event features panels on air pollution and housing, with a keynote from Amy Schultz, MD, MPH, Executive Director of Population Health, Henry Ford Allegiance Health, and Jackson Health Network. Find more details and RSVP information here.
