Location:
Taubman Health Sciences Library 5000

Join us for a showcase and discussion about growing U-M health science collaborations in Western Uganda. UMMS Senior Associate Dean for Education and Global Initiatives Joseph Kolars will lead the conversation with Professor of Internal Medicine and UMMS Global Health and Disparities Director Brent Williams and School of Nursing Assistant Professor of Health Behavior and Biological Science Massy Mutumba. Dr. Williams this August accompanied an interdisciplinary team of medical, nursing, social work and pharmacy students to Uganda as part of an IPx grant-funded project to explore building new research collaborations there. Dr. Mutumba is a graduate of Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Uganda and has been involved in creating cross-institutional partnerships to strengthen nursing education in her native Uganda.

A light dinner will be served. Please RSVP to Bailey Streib.
